Four Boys and a Lady: What a month...

The boys are one month old today. It has been so much fun getting to know them and to notice their differences. Colin loves to eat and sleep - just like me! Jake is eating very well, but he is awake more than his brother. Colin is so peaceful and serene most of the time, while Jake is often squirming around and contorting his face. Jake always makes us laugh with his facial expressions. So far, they are exactly like they were in the womb - Jake moved around like crazy and Colin pretty much stayed put.

Both boys have amazing grips - each puts his hands around the bottle while being fed. If the bottle is positioned right, they can actually hold it up themselves. I didn't think babies this young could do that! They also both have pretty good neck control already. We were amazed to watch little Jake switch his head to the other side while lying on his stomach.

Needless to say, we love these little guys and are enjoying each day. Of course, we're also counting down the days until we may be able to sleep for more than a few hours at a time!

PS - About a week before the babies were born, I read in a Twins publication that the number of hours of work it takes to take care of twin infants is over 120 a week. There are 168 hours TOTAL in a week, so to say we're busy these days is an understatement. ;)
